How to Choose a Safe Dumpling Squishy
Safety Testing, Materials & Authenticity
Dumpling Squishy is a popular collectible toy category produced by multiple brands around the world. TABASQUISHY® is one of the trusted names in this growing category.
What sets TABASQUISHY® apart is not a claim of exclusivity, but our commitment to documented product safety.
Look Beyond Safety Logos
Do not rely on logos alone. Check whether the seller provides clear, product-specific information about testing and compliance.
For products sold in the United States, ask whether the product is covered by a valid Children’s Product Certificate and testing for the applicable U.S. children’s product safety requirements. For products sold in the EU or Great Britain, look for the appropriate CE or UKCA marking and supporting conformity documentation.
A safety logo copied onto a listing or package does not, by itself, prove that the specific product has been tested.
Check the Material, Age Grade and Safety Information
A responsible product listing should clearly describe the main material, intended age range, usage instructions and relevant warnings.
Avoid relying only on broad marketing terms such as “non-toxic” or “food-grade.” These descriptions should be supported by appropriate product documentation and test results.
Appearance, smell or surface texture may help you notice a possible quality issue, but they cannot replace formal safety testing.

FAQs
In TABASQUISHY®’s Halloween Dumpling series, Jack-O’-Lantern is labeled Secret, and Patchwork Pumpkin is labeled Super Secret. These two hidden designs are available through Mystery Boxes. The series also includes six Regular designs, which you can choose individually or discover inside a Mystery Box. These rarity labels apply specifically to the Halloween series. Color, glitter and price do not determine rarity across all dumpling squishies.
No. Color, glitter and price do not determine a dumpling squishy’s rarity. Names such as Gold Glitter, Blue Glitter and Fuchsia Glitter describe its appearance. For TABASQUISHY®’s Halloween Dumpling series, follow the published labels: six Regular designs, Jack-O’-Lantern as Secret, and Patchwork Pumpkin as Super Secret. These labels apply to those specific designs within the Halloween series—not to every dumpling with a similar color or finish.
TABASQUISHY® dumpling designs include glitter, tie-dye, 3D puffy, animal-inspired and seasonal styles, alongside mystery-box options. Colors include Golden, Blue, White, Pink and Fuchsia Glitter, plus Tie-dye Rainbow. Explore the Dumpling Squishy collection for current designs and availability. Check each product listing for its exact name, photos and purchase options.
No. “Dumpling squishy” describes a style of toy made by more than one brand. This page focuses on TABASQUISHY® designs; a similar dumpling shape from another brand does not automatically mean it is counterfeit. To identify a TABASQUISHY® product, compare its exact name and photos with our product listing, and check the seller and purchase source.
It depends on the product you select. A named-design listing lets you choose that design, while a blind box contains a random design from its stated series. Before ordering, check the product name, selected option and description. If you want a particular color or character, choose its individual product listing rather than a mystery box.
Check the exact product listing, packaging and supplied instructions for materials, recommended ages, warnings and care guidance. Do not assume that information for one dumpling design applies to every product or DIY kit. If the guidance is unclear—or you need supporting testing information—contact us with the product name before choosing a cleaning method or adding powder or other substances.
Yes. The TABASQUISHY® DIY Dumpling Squishy Kit lets you create your own dumpling by following the kit’s mixing, coloring, pouring and molding instructions. Check the DIY kit listing for the available options, included items and any additional materials required. Follow the kit-specific instructions and safety guidance rather than assuming they are the same as those for a finished squishy.
No. Secret designs are randomly inserted and are not guaranteed in a full case. The Halloween series includes six regular designs and two secret designs, with one random dumpling in each blind box. The secret designs are available only through mystery boxes and are not sold separately. If you want a specific regular design, choose its individual listing instead.
Because "dumpling squishy" describes a viral style of steamed-bun squeeze toy rather than a single trademarked item, several legitimate brands make them—meaning products from different makers are not automatically counterfeit. In some physical discount stores, the basic steamer-basket versions are typically distributed by retail toy companies. Online, TABASQUISHY® is the premier official brand specializing in handcrafted, food-grade silicone Dumpling Squishies across 6 signature series, complete with lab-tested safety standards and direct style selection.
Yes! TABASQUISHY® dumpling squishy is handcrafted from skin-safe, non-toxic, BPA-free and phthalate-free food-grade silicone. Our dumplings have been independently lab-tested to comply with U.S. Toy Safety Standard ASTM F963 and CPSIA regulations (passing strict lead content, phthalate, and mechanical safety tests), and you can view our official U.S. Toy Safety Test Report directly on our blog.

Not what I expected, in a good way
I've tried quite a few different squishies, and the silicone ones always feel a little different from foam. This one has a smooth, creamy feel that I enjoy. I like having different textures rather than buying the same type of squishy every time.

i usually go for animal-shaped squishies, so this was a little change from my usual picks. honestly glad i gave it a try. sometimes the simple ones are nice too lol

A little nostalgia
This reminds me of the little gold stars teachers used to put on school papers. I always liked getting those as a kid, so there's something amusing about having a star like this now. Didn't expect such a simple shape to bring back that memory!

A fun alternative to the usual Halloween stuff
I'm a little tired of seeing the same pumpkins and skeletons every Halloween, so I was happy to find something with a different character. Ghosts are a classic, but this one has a much softer, more playful look. I really like this style.
Clear Ghost with Light Taba Squishy

okay the little ghost is actually adorable. it's giving friendly neighborhood ghost instead of something scary lol

Not too spooky
I usually like Halloween things that are more cute than scary, and this one fits that perfectly. It has a simple little ghost look without being overly childish. I think that's what makes it so appealing to me.

A fun little sea creature
I've always found octopuses interesting, so I was happy to see one made into a squishy. The shape is quite recognizable, and I like that the tentacles aren't all arranged in exactly the same direction. It gives the whole thing a more natural look.
Glitter Purple Octopus Taba Squishy

why does this octopus look like it's trying to crawl away 😭 the little legs are cracking me up
Glitter Purple Octopus Taba Squishy
E.C.
My little one started counting the tentacles as soon as she saw it 😂 Apparently that was more interesting than anything else about it. She's been calling it her little octopus ever since.

Love the little details
I like that the body isn't completely smooth. The textured finish gives it more of a fluffy cat appearance, even though it's made of silicone. The darker ears also make the Siamese coloring recognizable. It's a nice combination of details without looking overly decorated.
White Siamese Cat

the little sitting pose is what got me 😂 looks like it's patiently waiting for someone to bring it a snack

Those tiny paws!
I didn't pay much attention to the little paw prints at first, but they're actually one of my favorite details. The brown pads against the white body are really sweet. It's a tiny detail, but it makes the whole design feel more complete.

A sweet little treat
I think this one is really pretty! It reminds me of those heart-shaped candies you see in cute little shops. There's something about the shape that makes it feel extra sweet. Definitely happy with this pick.

the little "not for eating" warning made me laugh 😭 i mean... fair enough lol

Glad I read the instructions
I tend to get a little carried away when playing with squishies, so I actually appreciated the reminder about not pulling or stretching this one. It's easy to forget that different materials need different handling. Definitely something I'll keep in mind with my other silicone ones too.
